Phil Cohen was a figment of my imagination. And yet, he lives. In the early ’90s, I cobbled him together from various exploitation filmmakers and tough guys and wrote an article with a film shoot with a couple of good friends. Somewhere along the line, a myth was born.
I’ve resurrected him for the forth issue of Chicken Outfit because there is so much more to tell about Phil, his oeuvre and the maniac he hired to star in Beyond Recognition. I’ve done two posters for his 1968 film “Necrophilia”. The newest is above and the other hand-painted one is in this article. Enjoy! Ha! Enjoy he says.
